For those who haven't had a chance to visit the volunteer house in Dar, here's a quick view of it. We were even lucky to host a wedding venue here today :)

Mediterraneo is a family-run hotel is situated in Kawe off the Old Bagamoyo Road about 20 minute drive from Kunduchi. It's one of the best places to go chill out in Mbezi as it offers a chilled-out ambience, good service and beautiful decor for both the business and leisure traveller alike. There is a delicious extensive Italian menu including pizza and seafood dishes. Try it out on your next visit.

 

So we've had quite terrible electric blackouts around the country and more so in Dar which were apparently due to the lack of rainfall/water used to run the machines. Below was the weather yesterday which reflected a few days of heavy downpour in Dar. Atleast it's not as hot as it used to be and electricity is back...for now

So for those of you who haven't heard the chance to yet visit zanzibar, forodhani (open air fish market) is one of the most popular places to go eat for 'mzungus' and locals alike. It can get crowded as most people tend not to eat in the hotels during the evenings. Make sure you drop down on your next visit you won't be disappointed!

Nell, (left) one of our Dar team leaders who recently relocated to Arusha. Although most of us did not get to share the fantastic last night in Dar of sea snails, duck, crab, prawns and live music, we sure do hope you had a blast!
